Rally racing

Anyone have any information on rally racing? I want to start, but that will require at least another car and a trailer. Also i'm not sure where to go to do it. Luckily it is something that can be done in the winter as well though. i guess i need to start looking around. I'd love to have a car that i can roll and just say "wow that was awesome!!"

You should find yourself a solid early-to-mid 90's Subaru AWD sedan. I doubt an Eclipse or Talon would make a very good rally racer unless there's experience out there in modifying the suspension for a little lift and more travel. Besides, the Sub's are usually pretty cheap and tend to be sturdy in a rollover (I've had first hand experience). Sounds like a fun sport to get into.

I have seen multiple 1st gen eclipses that were modified for rally racing. One was a complete off road only rally beast for 5500, but i'm sure there are others that are cheaper. A Suby sounds good too, but i need power in the car so it would have to be turbo i'm thinking. WRX?

Check out this site. Rally cars are anything but cheap. To really compete you have to invest quite a bit of money.

I'm contemplating rallying myself. Most of the cars I've seen that aren't junk or aren't all out WRC cars tend to run about $15k to $50k
